About the Band: Fu Manchu
Formed in Southern California in 1985, Fu Manchu stands as one of the founding pillars of the stoner rock and desert rock movements. Fusing heavy, detuned 70s rock riffs with a classic 80s hardcore punk attitude, the band carved out an unmistakable sonic identity driven by fuzzy guitars, van culture, skateboarding, and sci-fi themes. Landmark albums like In Search Of..., The Action Is Go, and King of the Road cemented their legacy as kings of the underground heavy rock scene.
Deeply intertwined with skateboarding culture since their inception, Fu Manchu's fuzz-heavy anthems have soundtracked skate videos for generations. Volatile Skateboards is proud to release this official skateboard deck collaboration, binding high-performance deck engineering together with authentic skate-rock history.
